Before:
A single cupboard where the children keep workbooks, textbooks and school supplies. It sits almost empty.
After:
Three new cabinets for each class filled with basic supplies including workbooks, activities, pencils, etc. for all subjects for all students.
“There is an improvement in attendance,” Namong school Principal said. “Learners concentrate and participate fully in lessons because of the improved learning environment.”
“It has improved teaching and learning of both students and facilitators (teachers) in so many ways; some students were facing challenges whereby they didn’t have a pencil or pen to write and also teachers finding it difficult to get some for them but through these supplies of learning material, it has massively improved their standard of studies.”

School: Namong
Estimated cost: $20,000This project aims to provide Namong school with the necessities to cover the cost of labor and materials to supply the doors and windows. This will secure the classrooms from rain, theft and animals. All material will be sourced and produced by local vendors.
